Abby J. Mayhew

RICHFORD - Abby J. Mayhew, age 29, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Richford on Sunday, September 14, 2014.

She was born October 25, 1984 in St. Albans the daughter of James & Paula (Tracy) Mayhew.

Abby was a lifelong resident of Richford and a 2003 graduate of Richford High School. She worked alongside her parents at Mayhews Corner Store in Richford where she used her great personality, her ability to talk to anyone and her love of people to help with the family business. She enjoyed hiking, swimming, shopping, listening to music, cooking and a good party.

She is survived by her parents, Jim & Paula (Tracy) Mayhew of Richford; her brother and his family, Alan & Melinda Mayhew and their son Tyler of Enosburg Falls; her paternal grandmother, Anita Mayhew of Richford; her maternal grandfather, Philip Tracy and his friend Lorraine Tracy of Franklin; her aunts & uncles, Jean Begnoche her friend Tom Michel of Swanton and Jeans daughter Tisa Begnoche and Tisas son Parker, Darwin & Sharon Tracy of Richford, Danny Tracy of St. Albans, Brenda Goodhue of Richford, Carla & Julian Desnoyers of St. Albans, Dennis & Tina Tracy of Richford & June Forty of Burlington; several cousins. Abby was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Gordon Mayhew; and maternal grandmother, Myrna Tracy.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 19, 2014 at 11:00 AM at All Saints Catholic Church, 152 Main St., Richford with Rev. Karl Hahr celebrating the Mass of Christian burial. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in the All Saints Cemetery in Richford.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4-7 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls.
