HINESBURG - Aime Emile Lamore, age 84, passed away Saturday morning, March 29, 2014 at the Starr Farm Nursing Home in Burlington.
He was born June 14, 1929 in Montgomery Center the son of the late Anthime & Florence (Pudvah) Lamore.
Aime drove truck prior to entering the U.S. Army in March of 1946 being honorably discharged in September 1947. While he was in the service he learned the trade of carpentry. Upon his honorable discharge he earned his certificate of completion for tractor trailer driving which allowed him to drive for the state of Vermont. He later became a self-employed carpenter building homes in Swanton, VT.
Aime loved to travel; visiting nursing homes and reminiscing with the friends old and new. He also loved reading his Bible, fishing, and eating out.
He is survived by his daughters, Monica Glover and her husband Jeff of Hinesburg, Sybil Wood of Waterbury, Carmela Bostwick and her husband Jim of South Alburgh, and Cheryl Rayner of Littleton, MA; 18 Grandchildren; his brother, Romeo Lamore and his wife Theresa of Montgomery Center; many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Aime was predeceased by his son, Aime Emile Peanut Lamore Jr. ; sisters, Lorenza Sargent, Pauline Meadows, Marie Estelle McCammon & Lorraine Despres; and brothers, Lionel, Gene & Leo Paul Lamore.
In keeping with Aimes wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no funeral service or visiting hours. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in the Green Mount Cemetery in Montpelier.
