Chicopee, MA / Montgomery Center, VT - Alice J. (Dupre) Deuso, age 74, passed away in the peace of her home surrounded by her family.
She was born on Sept. 17, 1937 in Montgomery Center, VT. She was a daughter of the late Willie and Jeanne (Desjardins) Dupre.
She was a communicant of the former St George Church. Alice is predeceased by her husband Romeo Deuso who passed away in 1987. She leaves 2 sons, Thomas Deuso of Green Bay, WI and William Deuso and his wife Louise of Springfield, MA; 2 daughters, Karen Jeanne Lathrop and her husband Warren of Chelsea, VT and Kimberly Deuso of Indian Orchard; 5 brothers, Arthur M. Dupre of Springfield, Charles Dupre of Agawam, Paul Dupre of Barre, VT, Roger Dupre of Long Island, NY and Roland Dupre of Underhill, VT; 1 sister, Rita St. Onge of Enosburg Falls, VT and her 12 beloved grandchildren.
Alice was a former Den Mother of Cub Scout Pack 300, a former member of the Moose Club and a friend of the Chicopee Library. She also loved to spend time playing with her wonderful grandchildren, tending to her flower beds, reading and being with her close friends.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 from 4 - 7 p.m. at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls, VT 05450.
Family will be gathering on Thursday, January 12, 2012 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Spears Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial being held at 2:00 p.m. in St Isidore Catholic Church, 169 Mountain Rd., Montgomery Center.
Burial will be in the spring time at the convenience of the family in St Isidore Cemetery, Montgomery Center, VT.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Baystate Visiting Nurses Association and Hospice, 50 Maple St, Springfield, MA 01103.
