BAKERSFIELD - Anne Ranslow Jocelyn-Blanchard, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at her home in Bakersfield.
She was born in Colchester, the daughter of the late Willard and Helen (Ross) Jocelyn.
Anne graduated from Essex Junction High School. She married Gerald L. Ganson in January of 1964. Anne received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in English Literature and minors in Psychology and French from the University of Vermont in 1971. She was as a Residential Support Worker for NCSS for 5 years, a Sales Representative at the Montgomery School House for 2 years, and an Assessment Specialist for VT Adult Diploma Program for 7 years. Anne was an active volunteer in Enosburg and Bakersfield for senior meals, the food shelf, and book discussion groups. She was a free spirit who loved living in Cold Hollow, interacting, and engaging with people. Anne was a strong woman with a kind heart who loved helping others. She enjoyed a good debate, and treasured time spent with her family and her dog, Twilight. Anne will be deeply missed by all her friends, family, and all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter, Heather Chevrier and her husband Armand Jr.; her son, Tyler Blanchard; her former spouse, Roman Blanchard; her brother, Donald Jocelyn; her sister, Ginny Godin and her husband Peter; her granddaughters, Chelsea Longe and her husband Tim Jr., and Emily Totten; and her two great-grandchildren, Carter and Collin Longe. Besides her parents, Anne was predeceased by her twin brothers, Willard and Charles Jocelyn.
A celebration of life will be held this summer in Bakersfield.
