HYDE PARK/ENOSBURGH - Anthony Tony Edward Parent, age 54, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2015 surrounded by his loving family at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.
He was born April 14, 1961 in St. Albans to George W. Parent and the late Rita (Rainville) Parent.
Tony graduated from B.F.A St. Albans in 1978 and joined the United States Army. After serving 20 years in the military he retired and went to work for the United States Postal Service in Montpelier until his passing.
He was a rather quiet soul with a very generous heart. Tony absolutely loved music and the Boston Bruins. He had an eclectic approach to gardening and was a giving person who never asked for anything in return. For several years Tony would make his routine Sunday visit to West Enosburgh to visit his folks and several family members in the area; not once did he ever show up without a bag full of assorted snacks and drinks to share.
Tony... keep shining down upon us with that beautiful smile of yours! You will truly be missed.
