SHELDON - \tArchie J. Sonny Domina, Sr., age 73, passed away Friday, September 9, 2016 at his home with his loving family at his side.
He was born in Montgomery on April 19, 1943 the son of the late Achie & Adeline (Lumbra) Domina.
Archie grew up in Montgomery where he ran the family farm for several years and for the past 45 years he owned & operated the Domina Farm in Sheldon. He also custom trucked hay, corn, manure, among many other agricultural related business functions and in 2013 he began a sugaring operation.
Archie was a hardworking, devoted family man. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, dancing and just having a good time with his family and friends. He loved all animals especially his beagle, Sonny Rose.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Anne (Martin) Domina of Sheldon. Archie & Rose Anne were married November 18, 1961. He is also survived by his children, Bonnie Domina of Enosburg Falls, Penny Domina and her fianc Scott Garrow of Sheldon, Lonnie Skipper Domina and his girlfriend Theresa Callan of Fairfax, Tina Smith and her husband Travis of Pauline, SC, Michael Domina and his significant other, Jaime Sweet of Franklin, Harvey Domina and his wife, Katie of Berkshire, and Archie Sparky Domina Jr. and his girlfriend Missy Labounty of Fairfield; his son-in-law, Timothy Roth of Pauline, SC; his grandchildren, Jason, Jeremy, Jenessa, Jacob, Brandi, Bradley, Blake, Beau, Jesse, Michelle, Brittany, Megan, Austen, Cameron, Makaylah, Kalie, Riley, Gage, Ava, Archie III; his great grandchildren, Ayden, Ella Rae, Jaeley, Anthony, Benjamin, Angel, Jaxon, Dartanyon, Adelia, Morraisa, Cody & Shaylynn; his sister, Linda Clark of Berkshire; his brother, Donald Domina and his wife Penny of Eden; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Archie was predeceased by his daughter, Darlene Domina Larose on August 5, 2016; and his grandsons, Barry Rice on February 2, 2003 and Brandon Rainville on July 16, 2004.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Archies farm, 300 Patterson Road, Sheldon with Pastor Patrick Hoadley officiating. Interment will follow in the Montgomery Center Cemetery. Following the committal there will be a reception held at Archies farm.
Visiting hours will be held Monday from 5-8 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave.,Enosburg Falls
