Richford - Arlene Lora Ann Peters, 76, passed away Monday afternoon, March 22, 2010 at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.
Arlene was born on November 14, 1933 in Richford, the daughter of George A. and Jessie (Hogaboom) Jacobs.
Arlene had worked throughout the area in the Meals on Wheels Program at the Champlain Valley Area Agency on Aging. She enjoyed working with her horses, knitting, reading books, flowers and trips to Atlantic City. Arlene especially enjoyed family cookouts and visits with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are her sons, Walter D. Peters of Richford and Daniel W. Peters of Newport; her grandchildren, David Peters and his companion Jessie Kelley, Devin Peters, Kellie Peters and her companion Donald Santore, Justin Peters and his companion Erin OConnell, Daniel A. Peters, Mickayla Peters and Abby Peters; her great grandchildren, Brett Peters, Brianna Kelley, Zachariah Santore and Shaylee Peters; her siblings Roger Jacobs and his wife Shirley, Stephen Jacobs and his wife Judith and Lora Jacobs. In addition to her parents Arlene was predeceased by a brother George A. Jacobs, Jr.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 26, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Richford Center Cemetery with Rev. Daniel Jordan, Pastor of St. John the Baptist Church in Enosburg officiating.
