Arnold Malone

BAKERSFIELD - Arnold H. Malone, age 80, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at St. Albans Health & Rehab.

Arnold was born on January 28, 1944 in a bedroom at the farm house where he lived his entire life. He was the son of the late Richard & Beatrice (Longley) Malone.

He was a proud dairy farmer who dedicated himself to the land and the life that it offered. His connection to the mountains and agriculture were foundational to his spirit. Arnold was not just a farmer; he was a devoted steward of nature. He spent countless hours tending to his animals, deer hunting, and maple sugaring.

He is survived by his sister, Janice Elwood of Berkshire; his nephew, Chuck Elwood and his family, and niece, Crystal Sheridan and her family; and special neighbors and long-time friends, Walter & Waren Brown. Arnold was predeceased by his parents, Richard & Beatrice Malone.

Arnold's family would like to thank all his neighbors on the mountain for looking after him, especially John Kleinfelter, Larry & Brenda Westcom, Pat Manhan, Dorothy Westcom and the late James Westcom and their families.

Arnold's family will be holding a service for him on the Malone Farm later this year.
