ENOSBURG FALLS - Audrey Bashaw, age 89, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at the Starr Farm Nursing Center in Burlington.
She was born March 23, 1928 in Highgate to the late Kenneth & Blanche (Tatro) Lothian.
Audrey graduated from Highgate High School in 1946 and married Carroll Bashaw on October 15th of that same year. She worked at the Missisquoi Pulp Mill for 2 years before devoting all her time to raising her children and teaching piano lessons, she taught piano for 25 years. Audrey was a long-time member of the 45 Card Club along with St. John the Baptist Church in Enosburg Falls. In her younger years, Audreys favorite hobbies included playing golf and bocce, riding bicycle, swimming and watching the Orlando Magic.
She is survived by her children, Michael Bashaw of Orange City, FL, Keith Bashaw and his wife Laurie of Williston and Bonnie Bashaw of Lunenburg and her dear friend, Kevin Cole of Ft. Collins, CO; her grandchildren, Travis Bashaw and his wife Stacy, Damon Bashaw, Ashley Bashaw, Justin Bashaw and his wife Tiffany, Tucker Bashaw, Katelyn Bashaw and Ben Cole and her great grandchildren, Brayden, Addyson, Brielle, Liam, Evan, Tessa and Lance. Besides her parents, Audrey was predeceased by her husband Carroll Bashaw in 2004 and her granddaughter Andrea Cole Lawson in 2015.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 17, 2017 from 4-7:00 PM at Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls, VT.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Church, Missisquoi St., Enosburg Falls. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
