Audrey J. Haselton

BAKERSFIELD– Audrey J. Haselton, age 70, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.  

She was born in Claremont, NH on July 17, 1951 to the late William and Helen (Lafond) Benoit.

Audrey grew up in Burlington and Milton and attended Milton High School. She married the love of her life David Haselton on October 18, 1975, and the two raised their children in Milton. In her younger years she worked in retail and the Vermont Association for the Blind. Then after earning her associate degree, she held several positions for the State of Vermont including 17 years at the Probation and Parole office, and then the Health Department where she retired in 2016. After her retirement she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, baking, sewing, and knitting. She was strong willed, stood by her beliefs, and was the first to do anything for anyone.

She is survived by her husband, David Haselton of Bakersfield; children, Travis Haselton of Colchester, and Sadie Haselton of Bakersfield; grandchildren, Alexandra, Samael, and Michael Susco; sister and best friend, Sharon Benoit; several nieces and nephews, and her four legged companion that rarely left her side, Jake. Besides her parents, Audrey was predeceased by her siblings, David, Sandra, Donna, Steven, and William.

Family and friends are invited to Audrey’s Life Celebration events to include a funeral service on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 11:00 AM at The Goss-Spears Life Celebration Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls, VT. Interment will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Bakersfield.
