ENOSBURG FALLS - Audrey Barnes LaFlame, age 89, passed away Friday morning, June 15, 2018 at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.
She was born September 13, 1928 in Montgomery the only daughter of the late Clayton E. Barnes Sr. & Lona Kennett - Barnes.
Audrey graduated from Richford High School in 1946. She was employed by the Enosburg Falls Savings Bank and later the Howard Bank from March 3, 1947 to April 1, 1988. Audrey was very involved in the community belonging to the following groups and organizations; Enosburg Falls United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star; Martha Washington Chapter #44 in Enosburg Falls, North Star Chapter # 245 in Island Pond (Life Member), American Legion Auxiliary Post # 42 of Enosburg Falls, Franklin County Salon #786 8&40, Enosburgh Historical Society, Montgomery Historical Society and the National Rifle Association.
Her hobbies and interests included, walking, sewing, reading, photography, listening to classical music and traveling.
She is survived by 1 brother, Clayton E. Barnes Jr. of Georgia; 3 nieces Beverly Mayotte, Judy Piccininni and Mary Comtois (Maurice); 3 nephews, Robert Barnes Jr. (Cindy), William Barnes (Crystal) and Jeffrey Barnes (Jessica); 4 stepchildren and 5 step-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Audrey was predeceased by her 3 husbands, Ira Anderson Vincent in 1967, William John Anderson in 1981 and Gordon Fred LaFlame in 1994; 2 brothers, Carlton Barnes and Robert E. Barnes, Sr.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Enosburg Falls United Methodist Church, 245 Church St., Enosburg Falls. There will be no visiting hours. Interment will follow in the Missisquoi Cemetery in Enosburg Falls.
