Barbara Lavery Lagrow

August 26, 1930 — April 28, 2015

FRANKLIN - Barbara Lavery Lagrow, age 84, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at the Vermont Respite House in Williston with her loving family at her side.

She was born August 26, 1930 in Franklin the daughter of the late Henry & Anna (Domingue) White.

Barb has been a longtime resident of Franklin more recently residing at the Franklin Homestead. She attended Franklin Elementary School and Franklin High School. While raising her family she was very active in school parents groups. She was a former member of Our Lady of the Lourdes Catholic Church in East Berkshire where she had also been a member of the Ladies of St. Ann. She attended the Franklin United Church & East Franklin Union Church where she volunteered at church dinners, holiday bazaars and other church functions. Barb was a very social person who enjoyed visiting with people. She had worked part-time at the East Berkshire Post Office and as a Avon Representative.

She is survived by her children, Nancy Wissel and her husband Larry of Williston, Robert Lavery and his wife Suzanne of East Berkshire, and Wendy Lavery of Highgate Center; her step-children, Gayla Vorhies of Florida, Carol Smith and her husband Douglas of South Carolina, Gerald Lagrow of Underhill, and Joel Lagrow of St. Albans; her grandchildren, Jenna Machia and her husband Rickie, Josh Howard and his friend Jerica Broe, Sarah Wissel and her friend Clifford Mayo, Heidi Wissel and her husband Roberto Olvera Vargas, and Amy Lothian and her friend Andrew Tremblay; her great grandsons, Evin Howard & Bryce Tremblay; her step grandchildren, Leslie Lamoreaux, Kimberly Brant, Timmy Conway, Bradley & Christopher Philips, Jason, Matthew, Zachary & Abby Lagrow, and Amy & Sean Whitney; her sister, Donna Domingue and her husband Larry of Sheldon; her sister-in-law, Lulah Lavery of Richford; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews and step great grandchildren. Besides her parents, Barb was predeceased by her 1st husband, Lloyd Lavery; her 2nd husband, Gerald Lagrow; her step-son, John Lagrow; her sisters, Marilyn Ladieu, Dianne Clark & Pansy Crossman.

The family wishes to thank the Vermont Respite House for the special care and compassion provided to Barb and her family.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the East Franklin Union Church, 4610 Lake Road/Vermont Route 120, East Franklin with Rev. Jason McConnell officiating. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in the Richford Center Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be held Friday from 4-7 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls
