Enosburg Falls- Betsy Ann Ploof, 69, passed away on Monday evening, April 16, 2012 at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.
Betsy was born on September 8, 1942 in Georgia, VT, the daughter of Theodore and Evelyn (Dashno) Corey. Her marriage to Roger Ploof took place on July 24, 2000.
Betsy was a hard worker. In her earlier years she had been employed at Peerless Clothing and as a housekeeper at Smugglers Notch and the VT Army National Guard in Enosburg. She especially loved fishing, knitting, crocheting and visiting with family.
Surviving are her husband, Roger Ploof of Enosburg Falls; 2 daughters Joanne Bouchard and her husband Sonny of Enosburg Falls and Melissa Delisle and her husband John of Richford; 2 brothers Michael Corey and his wife Valerie and Randy Corey and his wife Karen, all of Enosburg; a sister Joyce Godin of Berkshire; 5 grandchildren, including her grandson Wayne, with whom she enjoyed many special times; 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Betsy was predeceased by 3 brothers, Theodore Ray Corey, Jr., Gaylord Corey and Lynn Corey and a sister, Sally Corey
Memorial services will be held on Monday, April 23, 2012 at 12:00 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave. in Enosburg Falls with Pastor Lyle Willey officiating. Interment will take place in the Sheldon Village Cemetery at the convenience of Betsys family. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Monday from 11:30 until the time of the service.
