Brian Preston Kelly, age 81, entered the presence of his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 16th, 2024 in St. Albans, Vermont after a long battle with Alzheimer's.
He was born in Allagash, Maine August 10th, 1942 to the late Luther and Arlene (Jackson) Kelly. He was raised by his loving late Aunt Sarah and Uncle Charlie Jackson from infancy with his cousin Bradley Jackson. He had an idyllic childhood with an extended family in the deep woods of Maine. He spent many happy years in Maine, and he always longed to be around family.
He moved to Connecticut and met his wife of 58 years, Linda Hemingway and raised three children. His family was only second to his faith and love for God. There wasn't a mean bone in his body and was kind to everyone. He was a sweet soul who always had time to help those in need. He worked hard but took time to listen and care about people. He was a member of The Union Bible Church in Alburgh, VT for many years.
He is survived by his loving wife Linda, his brother, Bradley Jackson and his wife Joanne, his sisters from Maine, Rosalie Kelly, Rebecca Dixon, Albertine Smith, Irma Hitchcock, Darlene Henderson, Anne Henderson, Donella Leavitt, and Jenna Anderson, and Kathy Simmons of Harleysville, PA.
He is also survived by his children Susan and her husband Jay Trahan of Portsmouth, NH, Heather and her husband Garry Lavoie of Tahoe City, CA, Brian and his wife Jeanel of Hampstead, NC; his 9 grandchildren, Logan L'Esperance and his fiancé Jessica, Ava Stanley and her husband Levi, Garrett Lavoie, Evelynn Lavoie, Wyatt Trahan, Weston Trahan, Sarah Kelly, Ethan Kelly, Mason Kelly; and great-grandchild Hudson L'Esperance, and many loved cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his sister Eleanor Peterson, brother Warren Kelly, brother Harlan Kelly, sister Lorraine Kelly and sister Lorilee Henderson.
