Brooke B. Leduc

ALBURGH- Brooke B. Leduc, age 51, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, October 21, 2018 surrounded by her family and close friends.

Brooke was born in Miami Beach, Florida on June 13, 1967 to Thomas & Linda (Medor) Blanchard.

She graduated from Essex High School in 1985 and earned her B.S. in Occupational Therapy from the Sargent College of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences at Boston University in 1989. Upon her graduation, Brooke returned to Vermont where she was a life long resident. On September 4, 1992 she married Mark J. Leduc at Saint Pius X Church in Essex, VT. They built a home together in Alburgh, VT in 1994. Brooke enjoyed much in life, but nothing compared to the intense love she had for her sons; her world revolved around them. Brooke took great pride in her work as an Occupational Therapist, most recently helping children with special needs at Adirondack Helping Hands, Plattsburgh, NY. Brooke was also an avid sports fan, most notably for North Country Youth Hockey, where she served as a Board Member, as well as for her beloved New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Lightning. Her favorite activity by far, however, was spending time on the farm with her husband and boys, often capturing the beauty of even an ordinary day with lots of love and laughter. She will always be remembered for her amazing sense of humor, relentless attention to detail and love & pride for family and friends.

Brooke is survived by her loving husband and sons, Mark, Benjamin and Nicholas Leduc of Alburgh, mother in law, Philomene Leduc of Alburgh, sister in-law Lucy Leduc and her partner David Bressette of Swanton. She is also survived by her parents, Thomas & Linda Blanchard of Grand Isle, her brothers, Scott Blanchard and his wife, Heather of Hingham, MA, and Brett Blanchard and his wife, Karen of Williston, as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends who will miss her dearly.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 from 3-6 PM at Kidder Memorial Home, 89 Grand Avenue., Swanton.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Nativity, Canada Street, Swanton. Interment will follow in the Saint Amadeus Cemetery in Alburgh.
