ENOSBURG FALLS– Carlton Robert Tanner, age 82, passed away on January 31, 2021 after a short battle with cancer.
He was born in Bakersfield in his family home on August 30, 1938 he was the son of the late Herbert and Frances (Frenchette) Tanner.
Carlton was an avid hunter, outdoorsman and master at his trade of Logging. If he wasn’t working, he was hunting and in his spare time he enjoyed collecting guns. He loved tinkering on his vehicles with his kids and grandkids. He enjoyed watching his westerns and you could guarantee he was watching Monday Night Raw.
He is survived by his life partner, Linda Craig of Enosburg Falls; his brother, Richard Tanner and his wife Rachel of Sheldon; children, Melissa Poirier and her husband Tim of Berkshire; Tammy Ryea of Enosburg Falls; Dean Craig of Lancaster, NH; and Donald Craig of Berkshire; special granddaughter, Misty Bumgardner and her husband Chris of North Hero; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Besides his parents, Carlton was predeceased by his siblings Eugene Tanner, Madelyn Tanner, and Christine Gerrow; and daughter Starr Marie Tanner.
A Life Celebration will include an open house on Friday, February 5, 2021 from 5:00-7:00 PM at The Goss-Spears Life Celebration Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls, VT 05450
