Montgomery Center, VT - Chantal L. Pothier, age 50, passed away, peacefully, at her home in Montgomery Center on Tuesday afternoon August 10, 2010, surrounded by her loving friends and family.
Chantal was born on November 11, 1959 in Newport, VT the daughter of Bruno and Therese (Savoie) Pothier of Enosburg.
Chantal was well known as the owner of The Belfry Restaurant & Pub in Montgomery Center. She had worked there for 12 years prior to purchasing The Belfry in October of 1999. Chantal had a passion for life and a love of people. Her door was always open and she enjoyed entertaining, hosting and cooking. She loved family functions, doing new and different things, playing softball, being out of doors, camping, gardening and traveling.
Chantal is survived by her husband, Marty Lumbra of Montgomery Center; her daughter, Journey Snoke of Montgomery Center; her son Joseph Snoke of Lancaster, OH; her father Bruno Pothier of Enosburg Falls; 2 brothers, Real Pothier and his partner Gary Bergeron of Richmond and Benoit Pothier and his wife Rita of Enosburg Falls; 2 sisters, Josee Pothier and her partner Debbi Fisher of Franklin and Carole Volaric and her husband Vasko of Sterling, VA; nieces and nephews. Chantal was predeceased by her mother, Therese (Savoie) Pothier on May 5, 2010.
A celebration of Chantals life will be held on Sunday, August 15, 2010 at 1:30 PM at the Montgomery Grange Hall. Friends are also welcome and encouraged to call on Saturday August 14, 2010 from 1-4 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave. Enosburg Falls.
