BERKSHIRE / BERLIN - Cheryl A (Toby) Johnson died peacefully August 5th 2016 at Berlin Health & Rehab after a prolonged battle with cancer.
Cheryl A Toby was born at Heaton Woods Hospital in Montpelier, Vt. Raised in Adamant with her brothers Lester G Toby and Norman E. Toby. Cheryl attended graded school in East Montpelier, VT. Predeceased by her parents, Lois & Elbridge Toby, as well as her son, Timothy Smith. Her marriage to Hugh Johnson brought her much joy. She enjoyed their pets, especially their boy a small dog named Moose and living in the country. She gardened during the summer with the help of her husband who built her raised beds. She talked about her roses and lilac bushes most of all the flowers, enjoyed sitting on the front porch watching wildlife and listening to country music.
Survived by her husband Hugh Johnson, three daughters, Ann Hunt, Jenifer Smith, Stacy Massey and her beloved dog Moose. Her brothers, Norman E. Toby and his wife, Carolyn; Lester G. Toby and his wife, Patricia; 6 grandchildren, Kathryn Hunt, Samantha Hunt, Lonnie Hunt, Chase Sleeper, Keith Massey, Jackson Mobley, many cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday August 9th from 5-7 pm at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls, VT. A short committal service will be held for family only in Robinson Cemetery at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 12, 2016.
