Clarice Tibbits - Jacques

NEWPORT / RICHFORD - Clarice S. Tibbits - Jacques, age 94, passed away Saturday February 3, 2007 at the Bel-Aire Nursing Home in Newport following a lengthy illness.
\tShe was born September 29, 1912 in Richford, VT the daughter of the late Louis Philippe Brouillette & Blanche. (DeCelles) Brouillette.
\tClarice received her basic education from Sacred Heart School in Newport and Richford High School. She also attended the University of Vermont for specialized courses.
\tShe was an active member of the Richford Business community for over 30 years having owned and operated Brouillettes Department Store for most of that time. She was also involved in many community organizations. She was a friend of the needy and elderly, often giving of her time and resources to those in need. She was a devoted member of All Saints Catholic Church where she had directed the choir for many years and will be remembered as a gifted soloist.
\tShe is survived by her son, Kevin Tibbits and his wife Susan of White River Jct.; 2 granddaughters, Alison & Britney Tibbits; 1 grandson, Jesse Tibbits; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her 1st husband, Claude Tibbits; her 2nd husband, Raymond Jacques; 3 brothers, George, Maxime & Albert Brouillette; 2 sisters, Cecile Brouillette & Marguerite Lavigne.
\tFuneral services will be held Tuesday February 6, 2007 at 11:00 AM at All Saints Catholic Church with Rev. Benedict Kiely celebrating the Mass of Christian burial. Interment will be held next spring in the East Franklin Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours.
