Daniel M. Shedrick

ALBURGH – Daniel M. Shedrick, age 63 passed away peacefully on February 6, 2021 with his family by his side at his home in Alburgh.

He was born in St. Albans on March 9, 1957 to the late Milford & Addie (Doody) Shedrick.

Dan met the love of his life in 1975 and married her on September 14, 1985. Laurie and Dan have been married for 35 years. They had two children, which completed their perfect family. He did anything and everything he could to provide for his family. Dan took great pride in fixing things. He deeply enjoyed passing his knowledge down to his children and grandchildren. When he was no longer able to visit the garage to putter, he started working indoors. He made aprons, dream catchers and leather bags. He loved nature and photographing the beauty of it. When Dan took a break from working, he loved to watch WWE wrestling, Star Trek, John Wayne movies and loved classic rock. Nothing brought Dan more joy than to be surrounded by his family and fur babies.

He is survived by his wife, Laurie (Ravelin) Shedrick of Alburgh; his children, Daniel Shedrick and his wife Jennifer of Swanton and Mary Rose Shedrick of Alburgh; grandchildren, Timothy Kinville, Daniel “Monkey Boy” Shedrick and Sarah “Corky” Shedrick; his four legged “son” Max; fur babies, Bella, Chewy, Spock and Patches; grand fur babies, Maggie, Daisey, Lucy, Lilly, and Luna; brother-in-law, Dave Ravelin and his wife Ellen; very best friend, Jim Demers; special friends, Mert and Pam Huntley, Amy Barrette and Bradley Guyette, Don and Ann Chicoine, James and Joanne Holcomb, Harriet and Walter Delaney, Jerad Delaney, David Gratton, Harold Smith and several other social media friends. Besides his parents, Daniel was predeceased by his mother and father-in-law, Charlie and Mary Ravelin; and sister-in-law, Gail Bessette.  

There will be no public services for Dan.
