Darla (Johnson) Donna

MONTGOMERY CENTER - Darla Mae Donna, age 57, wife of Alan Donna, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington with her loving family at her side.

She was born August 8, 1953 in St. Albans, VT the daughter of the late Bernard & Juanita (Mayo) Johnson.

Darla was a resident of Montgomery Center for the past 37 years and was a former resident of West Berkshire.

Darla was a great lady, whos first love was her grandchildren, who meant the world to her. Darla spent lots of time with them doing simple things that her grandchildren will cherish forever, Darla made their time together very special for each of them. Darla also loved her music, she and her sister would spend many hours recording music back when there was the tape recorder to the now upgraded cds. All that knew Darla knew her for her spunk and her joy for life while loving being with her family and many friends having fun dancing, visiting, and just being around everyone laughing and joking the whole time. Remember Darla with a smile and with the joy and laughter she brought to us all.

She is survived by her husband, Alan Donna of Montgomery Center; her children, Chad Johnson and his companion, Nicole Gregoire of Montgomery, Jeff Donna and his companion Tracy Barbeau of Richford , and Amy Mason and her husband Randy of Richford ; her grandchildren, Sirena Donna, Jessica Irons, Jace Johnson, Sara Mason, Megan Donna, Gavin Johnson & Keagan Mason; her great granddaughter, Haley Irons; her brothers, Clifford H. Johnson of Ocala, FL, Bernard D. Johnson of Fairfield, Michael J. Johnson of Ocala, FL, and John Johnson and his wife Doreen of Richford; her sisters, Patricia A. Johnson of Deland, FL, Dale Wetherby of Richford, Sherri Mercy and her husband Duane Buster of Montgomery, and Sarah Donna and her husband Burton of Richford; her sister-in-law, Priscilla M. Tiny Johnson of Richford; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Darla was predeceased by brother, David Johnson; and a sister, Carol Sue Johnson.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2011 from 6-8 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls. A graveside service will be private and held at the convenience of the family this spring in the Berkshire Center Cemetery.
