Darwin Gilbert Cameron Jr.

ALBURGH – Darwin G. Cameron Jr., age 69, passed away on May 25, 2022, with his loving family by his side at his Alburgh home. 

He was born in St. Albans on November 19, 1952, to Velma (Jarvis) Cameron and the late Darwin Cameron Sr. 

Darwin married the love of his life Karen (Stokes) on November 6, 1971. 

Darwin was a truck driver for 37 years. Over the years he enjoyed collecting Farmall tractors, building, drag racing his 1969 Cuda and boating with Karen and their family. Darwin was a family man; his family always came first. 

He is survived by his wife of 50 years Karen (Stokes) Cameron; daughters, Karyn-Marie Lipari and her husband Tony, and Sally Miller and her husband Robert; grandchildren, Katie Trombley and her significant other Kyle Wyman, Devin Cameron and his significant other Madison Parah, and Josh Metcalfe and his significant other Jenna McMillian; his mother, Velma (Jarvis) Cameron; sisters, Annette Smith and her husband Alan, and Martha Pease and her husband Dennis; special nephew, Joseph (Skipper) Deyo; many, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends; and his beloved cat, Noble. Darwin was predeceased by his father, Darwin Cameron Sr.; sister, Barbara Jean Blair; and his brother, Larry Cameron.

Family and friends are invited to Darwin’s Life Celebration events to include visitation on Thursday, June 2, 2022, from 4-7:00 pm and a funeral service on Friday, June 3, 2022, at 11:00 am at The Goss Life Celebration Home, 89 Grand Avenue, Swanton. Interment will follow at St. Amadeus Cemetery in Alburgh.
