BAKERSFIELD - David L. Joyal, age 66 passed away unexpectedly Monday evening February 9, 2009 while hunting which was one of the things that David loved the most.
He was born January 28, 1943 in Bakersfield on the family farm the son of the late Levi & Ida (Machia) Joyal Sr.
David was a lifelong resident of Bakersfield and was a graduate of Brigham Academy. Following graduation from high school he was drafted into the U.S. Army serving in Korea. Following his honorable discharge from the service he worked on the family farm where he and his brother are still farming and sugaring. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and had been on several Caribou hunts in Canada. He also liked to fish, snowmobile, and ride his dirt bike.
He is survived by his brother, Levi Joyal Jr. of Bakersfield; his sister, Helen Joyal of Williamstown; good friend, Andrew Hale of St. Albans; and many cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Levi & Ida Joyal Sr.
There will be no services or visiting hours at this time. A graveside service at St. Georges Cemetery in Bakersfield will be held and announced this spring.
