David J. Letourneau

ALBURGH – David J. Letourneau, age 50, passed away unexpectedly on December 10, 2021 at his home in Alburgh.

He was born in St. Albans on November 9, 1971 to James Letourneau and the late Elizabeth (Pearo) Letourneau.

He is survived by his son and best friend, Brendan Letourneau of Alburgh; his father, James Letourneau and his partner Goldie Cadieux of Alburgh; siblings, Debbie Mangan and her husband David of Alburgh, Mark A.  Letourneau and his partner Michael Trudo of South Burlington, and Todd L. Letourneau of Alburgh; nieces and nephews, Stephanie Willson and her partner Tim Buswell, Ellen Willson and her children, Emma, Owen and Peyton, Matthew Willson and his daughter, Paisley, Daniel Mangan and his partner Jessica and their children, Jake, Kinsley, Dakota, and Noah, Sarah Garrow and her son James; special friends, Kent Langlois, Gail and Steve Bowman, Ryah, Cheryl, Justin and everyone else that became family at Best Friends Diner; and numerous cousins and friends.

David was a private man who held his friends close and his family closer. He enjoyed nothing more than to spend quality time with his son and best friend and cook steak together. David was an avid Red Sox fan, never missing an opportunity to yell at the TV in excitement or disgust! He loved fishing for trout in the streams in Montgomery with his father, Uncle Pat, and old friend Vincent Mitchell. David had a true passion and talent for playing the guitar, he loved all music but especially Bob Dylan. His family describes him as a kind, loving soul, a gentle giant with a heart of gold. David loved everyone. He worked at Best Friends Diner, where his coworkers truly became family.

David’s Life Celebration events include visitation from 10-11:00 AM on Friday, December 17, 2021 at the Goss Life Celebration Home, 89 Grand Avenue, Swanton, VT 05488, followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM. David’s family is requesting that everyone please wear a mask.
