Dennis Ryan

Dennis Vincent Ryan, 60, of Fairfield, died Sunday, June 13, 2010, peacefully surrounded by his family and friends at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington.
Dennis was born in Morrisville on January 31, 1950, to Leo and Veronica (Maloney) Ryan.
He attended Fairfield Elementary School and Bellows Free Academy in St. Albans. Following high school Dennis worked at the Vermont Furniture Company in Winooski. He was a life-long dairy farmer, and a maple sugar maker. He enjoyed working with horses and his antique buggy. He also enjoyed gardening and the outdoors.
He is survived by his partner, Darlene Symons of Fairfield; daughter, Janice Maureen Ryan and her fianc Daniel Bresette of Silver Spring, M.D.; son, Thomas Ryan and his wife Brenda of Richford; the mother of his children, Patricia Ryan of Sheldon; three sisters, Sister Janice Ryan of Burlington, Maureen Cooper of Las Vegas, N.V., and Rose Godard of South Burlington; brother, Gavin Ryan and his wife Cynthia of Fairfield; and many treasured nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Dennis was predeceased by his parents, Leo and Veronica Ryan; by his brother, David Ryan, and niece, Kellie Veronica Ryan; and brother-in-law, Rene Godard.
The Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday June 16, 2010 at 12:00 PM in St. Patricks Catholic Church in Fairfield. There will be no visiting hours.
