ST. ALBANS - Diane Starr (Fletcher) Bryce, age 60, passed away Friday morning October 24, 2008, at her home with her son, daughter, daughter-in-law, and youngest sister by her side.
She was born September 27, 1948, in Enosburg the daughter of the late Erwin J. & Glenna (Deuso) Fletcher. Diane lived in St. Albans for the past six years just down the road from her daughter, son-in-law, and grandson. She grew up in the Richford area with her 10 siblings and lived in Colorado, Fairfield, and the Burlington area.
Diane greeted the public with a warm smile from the many restaurants, retail establishments, and local watering holes where she worked including Woolworths, Howard Johnsons, Arbys, The Brick Oven, VFW, The Finish Line, JDs Pub, and Go-Go Gas. She most recently worked for Global Services at Mylan Technologies and Diversified Resources through Adecco Services.
She was a positive influence in her childrens lives and her encouragement and guidance will be missed by her son, Jason Bryce, his wife, Judy, and their children, Jordan, Jared, and Jayce of Richford; and her daughter, Ericka Luneau, her husband, Brent, and their son Jack of St. Albans. In addition to her children and their families, she is survived by sisters, Alice Workman of Grand Isle, Judy Williams of Essex, Deborah MacAulay and her husband Dennis of Naugatuck, CT; brothers, Norman Fletcher and his wife Gwen of Richford, Dale Fletcher and his wife Sandy of Concord, Gary Fletcher of Fairfax, and Randy Fletcher and his wife Kim of Burlington; several nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Kathy Fletcher and Shirley Fletcher both of Richford. Besides her parents, Diane was predeceased by her infant daughters, Lorie Sheltra and Jamie Bryce; sisters, Beth, Betty & Shirley Fletcher; brothers, Richard & Erwin Fletcher; and brother-in-laws, Richard Workman and Roger Williams.
A day of reflection and a celebration of Dianes life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2008, at the Somerset Inn, Depot Street, Enosburg Falls, with Pastor Lyle Willey officiating. There will be no visiting hours.

Both of these organizations as well as her care givers sister-in-law Kim, sister Debbie, daughter Ericka, daughter-in-law Judy, son Jason, and special neighbor Sylvia Cherrier were instrumental in supporting Diane through her illness. We take comfort in knowing we helped Diane on her final journey and fulfilled her wish to pass on at her own home. Our time with her has been a special gift we will treasure forever.
