RICHFORD - Donald E. Carruth, age 64, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.
He was born June 5, 1945 in Bondville, VT the son of the late Floyd & Gloria (Benway) Carruth.
Donald worked in the construction field, also as a carpenter and as a slate quarry laborer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and tipping back a few with his close friends.
He is survived by his wife, Rose (Freeman) Carruth of Richford; 3 children, Jay Carruth of Richford, Pam Carruth of Kingsland, GA, Scott Carruth of Richford, and Dickie Ritchie of Rutland; his grandchildren, Kyle Chamberlain, Jessie Clowes, Travis Dunakin, Janessa Carruth & Russell Carruth; 1 great grandchild; his siblings and their spouses, Floyd & Pauline Carruth of No.Granville, NY, Sylvia & Alfred Barker of Whitehall, NY, and Richard & Joan Carruth of No.Granville, NY; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a son, Paul Carruth; and a grandson, Shelby Friot.
In keeping with Donalds wishes he will be cremated and there will be no funeral services or visiting hours.
