SWANTON - Doris T. Cotnoir, age 93, a lifelong resident of the area died Thursday, August 2, 2018 at the St. Albans Health & Rehab Facility.
She was born June 27, 1925 in Highgate Center the daughter of Louis & Margaret (Maloy) Greenia.
Doris attended school in Highgate Center and later in life attained her GED. She married Arthur Cotnoir on July 1, 1951, they were happily married for 41 years. Arthur died June 2, 1992. Doris and Arthur operated Swanton Taxi for 24 years from 1951 to 1975.
She is survived by her step-son, Carl Cotnoir his wife Carol and their daughter Catherine of PA; 5 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Harold A Greenia Sr. of Swanton, Louis Greenia Jr.; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents & husband, Doris was predeceased by her adopted daughter, Shirley Partlow; 4 brothers, Mark Greenia Sr., Douglas Greenia Sr., Merrill Greenia & Leon Greenia; 3 sisters, Margaret Bockus Beverly Betty Delisle, and Joan Mitchell
In keeping with Doriss wishes she will be cremated and there will be no services Her burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Swanton.
