RICHFORD - Doris J. Rolland, age 94, passed away on Thursday morning March 29, 2012 at Ave Maria Community Care Home where she had resided for the past 20 years.
She was born in Canada on November 11, 1917 the daughter of the late Nelson T. & Eliza Lizzie B. (Ryea) Rolland
Doris was a resident of Richford most of her life and was just recently recognized for being a 70 year member of the Richford 1st Baptist Church. Doris had been a door to door salesperson for Blair Products, greeting cards and worked the concession stand at the Richford Movie Theatre. She also enjoyed embroiding, coloring and was an avid reader. And weekly, she faithfully wrote to her good friend, Mildred Noyes of Boscawen, NH. and Kernie Strong of Concord, NH.
She is survived by the many residents and staff at Ave Maria Community Care Home and the .brother Luther H. Rolland.
Funeral services will be held Sunday April 1, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Richford 1st Baptist Church 33 School St., Richford with Pastor Lyle Willey officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery in Richford.
A time of visitation will be held at the church on Sunday from 1:00 PM until the hour of the funeral.
