RICHFORD - Dorothy M. Demar, age 88, passed away Wednesday April 23, 2008 at Our Lady of the Meadows in Richford with her loving family at her side.
She was born July 12, 1919 in Richford the daughter of the late William & Emma (Brown) Demar.
Dorothy was a resident of Richford most of her life and was a member of the Richford United Methodist Church. She was employed at Richford Rexall for 29 years retiring in 1994. She was member of the Rebeccas and the Richford Senior Citizen Club. She enjoyed playing cards and crocheting. Dorothy also enjoyed participating in the Richford Hometown Follies and she will be remembered for her skit as Minnie Whirl.
She is survived by her daughter Sandra Brown and her husband Roger of Richford; 2 grandsons, Scott Brown and his wife Gina of Richford, and Russell Brown and his wife Robin of St. Albans; 2 great grandchildren Allie Ray Brown and C.J. Brown both of St. Albans. Besides her parents she was predeceased by 2 brothers, Leonard & Roderick Demar; and a sister, Alida Gilbar.
Funeral services will be held Friday April 25, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 140 Main St., Richford with Pastor Lyle Willey officiating. Interment will follow in the Richford Center Cemetery
A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 PM until the hour of the funeral.
