FAIRFIELD - Dylan Stone, age 21, passed away as a result from an ATV accident on Thursday, July 7, 2016, at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.
He was born in Burlington on May 8, 1995 to Russell Stone Jr. and Julie Russell.
Dylan was a farm-boy in every sense of the word; he loved being outdoors, he worked hard and he loved animals. When he was a young boy he was considered the loudest kid in the room but as he matured into a young adult, he became a quiet man that would give you the shirt off his back. Dylan graduated from Enosburg Falls High School class of 2013 and for the past few years he farmed with the Callan family in Fairfield. His favorite hobbies included riding 4-wheelers, going swimming, hunting, hiking and camping, watching scary movies and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his parents, Russell Russ Stone Jr. and his wife Hanna of Enosburg and Julie Russell and her fianc John Sweeney of Fairfield; his sister, Jordan Stone and her daughter Ava Morris of Bakersfield; his brother, Jayden Stone of Enosburg; step-brothers, Jason and Justin Lai of Burlington; paternal grandfather, Russell Stone Sr. of Bakersfield; maternal grandmother, Leslie Kittell-Emerson and her husband Mike of Sheldon; maternal great grandmother, Elizabeth Russell of Skowhegan, ME; aunts & uncles, Kim & Jeff Coon of Highgate, Deb & Dave Plouffe of Swanton, Karen & Chris Chicoine of Bakersfield, Chris Russell of Wallingford, Bill & Nicki Russell of Fairfield, Sam Emerson of Fairfax and Michael Emerson of Swanton and several cousins. Dylan was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Mary Stone and his maternal grandfather, Aaron Russell.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 13, 2016 from 5-8 pm at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls, VT.
A Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Anthonys/St. Georges Catholic Church, Rte.36, East Fairfield, VT with Fr. William Giroux officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Bakersfield.
