ALBURGH – Earle William Collins, age 95, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 21, 2025 at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.
Earle was born at home on October 20, 1929 to William and Ella (Lake) Collins in Alburgh Springs. He graduated from Alburgh High School and served in the United States Army from 1951-53.
He married Grace Bohannon on July 1, 1961 and together they ran a successful farm in Alburgh Springs. He also worked many years for the railroad. After retirement, they enjoyed travelling and visiting family.
He is survived by his two sisters, Ann Garrand of Plattsburgh, NY, and Audrey Poquette of Swanton. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Grace and his brother LLoyd Collins. He is survived by many nieces and nephews as well cousins in Canada and Michigan.
Family and friends are invited to Earle’s life celebration to include a visitation on Saturday, April 26th, 2025 from 1-2:00PM with a funeral service following at 2:00PM at the Goss Life Celebration Home, 89 Grand Ave., Swanton, VT 05488. Interment to follow at Bush Cemetery.
