RICHFORD - Edith L. Lahue, age 78, passed away Friday morning December 3, 2010 at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.
Edith was born May 14, 1932 in Amsterdam, New York the daughter of the late Samuel & Edith (Way) St. Mary.
Edith held several jobs through the years at JDs Pub, Berkshire Elementary School, Saints Quick Stop owned by George Messier, and for 8 years as a farm hand for Buzzy Leach in Enosburg Falls.
Edith enjoyed spending time with her family and especially loved to be with her grandchildren and always provided for them the best she could.
She is survived by 2 sons, Richard Sam Lahue of Morris, CT, and Roland Paul Lahue of Berkshire; 6 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren; a brother and his wife, Sammy & Jean St. Mary of Ilion, NY; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Edith was predeceased by an infant daughter, Edith M. Lahue; and 2 sisters, Margaret Combs & Ruth Bala.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday December 8, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Richford 1st Baptist Church, School St., Richford with Pastor Lyle Willey officiating. Interment will take place in the spring in the Hillside Cemetery in Richford.
Visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 140 Main St., Richford.
