ENOSBURG FALLS - Edward A. Jette, age 83, passed away Friday morning, May 15, 2015 at the Redstone Villa Nursing Home in St. Albans with his daughter and her husband at his side.
He was born September 15, 1931 in St. Alexandre, Quebec Canada the son of the late, Joseph & Irene (Monty) Jette.
Edward was a longtime farmer. He also worked at the Northland Hockey Stick Factory & Sweat & Comings Furinture Factory both in Richford, and retired from Enosburg Falls High School as the custodian after many years of service.
Edward worked BINGO and was the doorman at the Dairy Center for many years. He loved to dance but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren & great grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughter, Denise Bockus and her husband, Richard of Stanbridge Est, Quebec Canada; his grandsons, Joey Bockus and his wife Christine, Ricky Bockus and his wife Nina, and Andy Bockus all of Bedford; his great grandchildren, Kariane, Dylan, Ayden & Gabriel; his longtime friend, Nicole Letourneau of Swanton; his sisters, Therese Berthiaume of Montreal, QUE, Cecile Samson and her husband Denis of Iberville, QUE, Laurette Lhomme and her husband Jean-Guy of St. Luc, and Marie Claire Desranleau and her husband Normand of Bedford; his brother, Gerard Jette and his wife Denise of Cowansville, QUE; his sister-in-law, Jeannette Lanoue of Richford; his brother-in-law, Jean Guy Viens of Richford; and many nieces and nephews, Besides his parents, Edward was predeceased by his wife, Beatrice (Couture) Jette on January 17, 1990; his brothers, Donat Jette, Laurent Jette and his wife Gilberte, and Rosaire Jette; and his sister, Lucille Lapointe and her husband Rolland.
Funeral services will be held Monday May 18, 2015 at 11:00 AM at All Saints Catholic Church, 152 Main St., Richford with Rev. Karl Hahr celebrating the Mass of Christian burial. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Enosburgh.
Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 4-7 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls.
