St. Albans - Eldridge Joseph Knox, 72, a resident of Federal Street in St. Albans, passed away on Saturday morning, August 14, 2010 at the St. Albans Health & Rehab. Center, following a short illness.

Eldridge was born on February 4, 1938 in Rumford, ME the son of Eldridge Henry and Anita (Roy) Knox. He served in the US Marine Corps from 1956 - 1962.

Eldridge enjoyed camping, fishing and boating.

Surviving are his wife, Alice Doris (Allain) Knox of St. Albans; 2 sons Eldridge David Knox of Swanton and Kenneth M. Knox of Springvale, ME; a granddaughter Kali Miranda Knox of Springvale; a brother Robert Bill Knox of MA; a sister Nancy Knox of Wilmington, MA; nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Eldridge was predeceased by a son Robert Knox and 2 sisters Lola Belanger and Delores Archambault.

The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August19,2010 at 11:00 AM at All Saints Catholic Church in Richford. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Richford. Friends are invited to call at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls on Thursday morning from 9:00 to 10:30 AM
