Elizabeth "Hubba" A. Noel

SWANTON – Elizabeth “Hubba” A. Noel, age 77, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 surrounded by her loving family at her home in Swanton.

She was born in St. Albans on January 27, 1945 to the late Elwin & Elizabeth (Unwin) Young.

Elizabeth was a lifelong resident of Swanton. She married her soul mate and life partner, Roland Noel on May 18, 1963. They had four children that completed their family. Elizabeth was a nurturing caregiver, and helped raise many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and children in the community. She enjoyed watching her favorite TV shows, reading romance novels, visiting with family and friends, and making sure everyone in her presence was well fed. She always had an unlimited supply of “kool-pops” in her freezer, Rice Crispy treats, and popcorn balls for Halloween. Elizabeth always offered truthful advice and an endless amount of tough love.

She is survived by her children, Roland Noel Jr. and his wife Carla of Swanton, Kevin Noel of Swanton, Michelle Behm of St. Albans, and Nicole Miller of Florida; six grandchildren, Angel, Amanda, Kayleigh, Bryanne, Zackary, and Taylor; four great grandchildren, Sapphire, Mark, Lily, and Wyatt; siblings, Joyce Raine and her husband Raymond, Richard (John) Young, Norma Symington, and Elwin Young Jr. and his wife Cathy; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her parents, Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband, Roland in 2013; a grandson, Scott Noel; sisters, Linda Brown, and Pauline Blodgett.

In respecting Elizabeth's wishes, her family is holding a private Life Celebration.
