BAKERSFIELD, VT / SARDINIA, NY - Elizabeth M. Musick, age 96, passed away Monday morning September 10, 2012 at the Franklin County Rehab Center in St. Albans.
She was born February 21, 1916 in Buffalo, NY the daughter of the late Bartholomew & Catherine (Pozdziora) Czesak.
Elizabeth grew up in Yorkshire, New York and on May 31, 1943 married John Musick. Elizabeth & John lived on a dairy farm in Sardinia, New York where they raised their 3 sons. In her later years she made her home in Delevan, New York before moving to Bakersfield, Vermont to make her home with her son, John in January of 2004.
She is survived by her children, John J. Musick and his wife Carleen of Bakersfield, VT, Michael Musick and his wife Sharon of Farmington, NY; her grandchildren, Danielle Winter and her husband Scott, Elizabeth C. Musick, Melissa McGrath and her husband Andy, and Brent Musick and his wife Kristin; her great grandchildren, Joseph Winter, and Isaac & Abigail McGrath; her siblings, Paul Czesak and his wife Anne of Schenectady, NY, and Florence Letson and her husband Clifford of Coldon, NY; her sisters-in-law, Jennie Czesak, Theresa Czesak, Florence Czesak, Sophie Moehring; and brother-in-law, William Briggs; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband, John Musick on October 13, 1981; her son Edward L. Musick on June 8, 1994; her siblings and their spouses, Steve & Edith Czesak, Alice & Donald Knight, Stanley Czesak, Edward & Irene Czesak, Frances & Bill Delaney, Mary Briggs, Frank Czesak, and Walter Czesak & Julia Czesak who both died as infants; her sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law, Charles Moehring, Mary & Raymond Lockwood, Leo & Irene Musick, Stanley & Kay Musick, Anna Musick, and Katie Musick.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 10:00 AM at New St. Marys Catholic Church, Arcade, New York. Interment will follow in the Sardinia Cemetery in Sardinia, New York.
Visiting hours will be held Friday, September 21, 2012 from 4-7 PM at the W.S. Davis Funeral Home, 358 West Main St., Arcade, NY.
