Elizabeth A. Wilcox

December 23, 1947 — July 25, 2020

SHELDON - Elizabeth A. Wilcox, age 72, a Sheldon native, and loving mother, passed away from natural causes on July 25, 2020 at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.

She was born in St. Albans on December 23, 1947, the daughter of the late George Sr. and Elizabeth (Tracy) LaCoste.

Elizabeth graduated from BFA St. Albans and after graduation worked at WB Fonda Lumber and then Lucille Farms as an office manager for several years. She experienced marriage, and international and local adoption. Her children gave her purpose in life, especially through the health struggles she faced. Elizabeth enjoyed knitting and reading during her leisure time. She also had a passion for animals and had many cherished pets throughout her life. Elizabeth made a profession of faith in Jesus and leaned on her faith throughout her life. She had a strong belief in work ethic and enjoyed establishing a future for her children.

She is survived by her children, Max D. Wilcox Jr. of Sheldon, Michelle Wilcox of Groton, Emily Wilcox of Winooski, Kiara Wilcox of Highgate, and Gyleigha White of North Hero, and their father Max D. Wilcox Sr. of Sheldon; siblings, Joan Reed, and Brenda Cook both of Sheldon; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, George LaCoste Jr.

Due to current circumstances, a celebration of life will be held at the Northside Baptist Church at the convenience of Elizabeths family
