BAKERSFIELD, VT - Elsie Cecilia Hachez, age 83, passed away Monday, January 13, 2014 at Our Lady of the Meadows in Richford.
She was born March 13, 1930 in Stillwater, RI the daughter of the late John & Essie (Kane) Horan.
Elsie grew up in Rhode Island and attended Knotty Oak School in Coventry, RI. She worked for the Ryder Truck Rental Company as the billing clerk for many years. She was a Eucharistic minister at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church where she served as treasurer of the rosary & altar guild. She was also a member of the III Order of Franciscan Holy Spirit Fraternity and the PTO President of the Central School in Warwick, RI. Elsie enjoyed cooking and gardening and especially enjoyed bow hunting in Narragansett and was the Narragansett Bow Hunter New England State Champion.
She is survived by her daughters, Debra Voelker, and Holly Crispell and her husband John; her grandchildren, John R. Crispell and Sarah M. Crispell all of Bakersfield, VT. Beside her parents, Elsie was predeceased by her husband Ralph Hachez. Elsie & Ralph were married May 8, 1948.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 9:00 AM at St. Rose & Clement Parish, 111 Long Street, Warwick, RI. There will be no visiting hours.
