Burlington - Emily Lyman -August 21, 1997 - December 13, 2012
Emily was with us for 15 wonderful years. She always showed strength, courage, and tenacity. She never held back and always tried to do the best in everything. Emily never failed to surprise us with her insight and intelligence; she was adept at expressing herself and her surroundings, in an honest, and at times extremely funny way that left us all laughing out loud. She was wise beyond her years, yet never self serving, and never self-pitying.
Emily was a triumph.
\t\t\tHow to Make a Book Come to Life
\t\t\tYou have to believe
\t\t\tthat the characters will leap out of the pages
\t\t\ttwisting and forming themselves into
\t\t\treal human beings
\t\t\tand you have to know
\t\t\tthat theyll dance out of the words
\t\t\tlike light dancing on glass windows
\t\t\tand you have to see
\t\t\tthe people standing before you
\t\t\tthe people that you thought
\t\t\tcould only exist
\t\t\tin writing.
