Eugene Hull

ENOSBURG FALLS - Eugene F. Hull, age 96, passed away the evening of Thursday April 9, 2009 at the Franklin County Rehab Facility in St. Albans.
He was born in Cambridge, VT on April 20, 1912, the son of the late, Fay E. and Ethel P. (Ovitt) Hull.
Eugene moved to Enosburg with his family in 1929 where they milked cows until 1968 at which point he continued to raise heifers until 1979. He also worked with the WPA setting power poles throughout Vermont and as far east as Maine during the 1940s. Even at the age of 96 he was active and continued to putter around the farm and home which he loved to be at and take care of.
He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will be remembered as a great story teller.
He is survived by his nieces, Fay Wanzer of Boulder, CO., Deborah Wanzer and her partner Marla Kellman of Chestnut Hill, MA, and Virginia Burleson of Shelburne, VT; a great nephew, Samuel Kellman-Wanzer of Chestnut Hill, MA; several cousins, friends and neighbors. Besides his parents Eugene was predeceased by his siblings, Doris Larabee, Ruby Burleson, Morton Hull, and Marion Wanzer.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday April 14, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls. Interment will follow in the North Fairfield Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held Monday from 5-8 PM at the Spears Funeral Home in Enosburg Falls.
