RICHFORD - Evelyn Louise Weld, age 94, widow of Arthur E. Weld, passed away Saturday June 23, 2007 at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.
\tShe was born March 13, 1913 in Berkshire the daughter of the late Ernest & Emma (Robideau) Ward.
\tEvelyn was a resident of Berkshire most of her life. She raised her family on the Weld Farm on Route 105 in East Berkshire where she lived for 41 years. She was a member of the Dorcas Society in Berkshire Center and the Ladies Aid Group in East Berkshire. After the passing of her husband in 1986, she moved to Richford. While residing in Richford she served on the Board of Civil Authority and served as a Justice of the Peace. She also attended the Richford 1st Baptist Church.
\tShe is survived by 2 daughters and their husbands, Kay & Gary Rice of Windsor, VT, and Colleen & Roger Doyon of Hampstead, NH; 5 grandchildren, James Rice, Jeffrey Rice, Rhonda Rice, Matthew Doyon and his wife LeeAnn, and Leslie Doyon and her fianc Adam Lefavor; 6 great grandchildren, Eric Rice, Joshua Rice, Jacob Holzwarth, Grace Elizabeth Aldrich, and twins Isabelle & Anabelle Aldrich; 2 step great grandchildren; and many close friends Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a great grandson, Tyler Frederick Rice.
\tFuneral services will be held Tuesday June 26, 2007 at 10:00 AM at the Richford 1st Baptist Church with Pastor Lyle Willey officiating. Interment will follow in the Berkshire Center Cemetery.
\tVisiting hours will be held Monday from 7-9 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 140 Main St., Richford
