Frances "Hinky" A. King

ENOSBURG FALLS - Frances Hinky A. King, age 89, passed away on December 11, 2018 at St. Albans Health & Rehab Center.

She was born on January 26, 1929 in Fairfield, Vermont the daughter of the late Francis and Florence (Marshia) Nolan.

Hinky grew up in Fairfield and graduated from Bakersfield Academy in 1948. She spent 40 years working as a lab technician at Energizer. She was meticulous about her annual and perennial gardens and her 10-gorgeous, enormous hanging baskets on her porch. It gave her great pleasure spending time working in her gardens. Hinky also enjoyed playing 500, going for rides to Devyns for creemees and traveling with Richard camping in the RV throughout Vermont and New Hampshire. But most of all, family gatherings were where Hinky received the most joy.

She is survived by her three sons, Douglas Paradee and his wife Barbara of Enosburg, Joe Paradee and his wife Christine of New York and Perry Paradee and his significant other Terry Hammel of St. Albans; Richards children, Larry Green and his wife Darlene of Enosburg, Sally Duffy and her husband Bob of Enosburg, Jayne Carpenter and her husband George of Enosburg, Becky Demar and her significant other, Brian Brooker of Enosburg, Rick Green and his significant other, Liz Jackson of Enosburg, Nancy Kane and her husband Tom of Sheldon, Deborah Campbell and her husband Jim of Swanton, her brother, Arnold Lagrow; sister-in-law, Amelia Nolan; the father of her children, Hiram Paradee, 18 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Frances was predeceased by her husbands, Mort King and Richard Green; her brother, Leo Nolan; and sister, Patricia Chadwick.

The family would like to extend the sincerest thank you to Becky Demar and Carol Dunphy for love and care of Hinky and to Brownway Resident staff and St. Albans Health and Rehab Center for the exceptional care and kindness that she received.

A graveside memorial service will be held in the spring at St. Anthonys Catholic Cemetery, Sheldon Springs, Vermont.
