Frederick Kennett

MONTGOMERY CENTER - Frederick M. Kennett, age 74, passed away with his loving family at his side on Saturday evening December 27, 2008 at the Fletcher Allen Health Care Facility in Burlington.

He was born January 28, 1934 in Enosburgh the son of the late Arthur & Hildred (Lumbra) Kennett. He was a 1952 graduate of Enosburg Falls High School.

Fred was a life long resident of Montgomery and was a member of St. Isidores Catholic Church and the Catholic Order of Foresters. He was also a member and past president of the St. Isidores Cemetery Association. Fred was employed at GAF Corporation in Lowell for 24 years retiring in 1977.

Fred enjoyed watching baseball, especially the Boston Red Sox. He always said there were 2 fans, a Red Sox fan and anyone who rooted against the Yankees. He enjoyed playing cards and dominos and going to and holding yard sales.

Fred cherished the time he spent with his family and loved to watch his grandchildren play sports and other activities.

He is survived by his children, Debra Brault of Milton, Terry Sargent and her husband Homer of Jay, Randy Kennett of Bolton, and Lisa Driver and her husband Darryl of Jeffersonville; his grandchildren, Brian Brault his wife Jollene and their children, Tayler & Brayden; Chelsey Guillory her husband Shannon and her children, Mariah & Katlyn; Kyle Brault his friend Becky Kenison; Karen Sargent and her friend Marcus Rouleau; Krista Sargent her friend Matt Bathalon and their daughter Abigail; Shashaunah Kennett, Rebekah Kennett, Deseray Driver her friend Timothy Ducharme and their children Erica & Jordan; and Ethan Driver; his best friend, Anita Paradee and her family of Enosburg Falls; his sister, Doris Morin and her husband Hayden of Eden; a brother-in-law, Girdon Deuso of Hyde Park; several nieces and nephews. Besides his father in 1983 and his mother in 1985, Fred was predeceased by a daughter, Sharon Kennett in 1962; and a sister, Lila Deuso in 1997

Funeral services will be held Wednesday December 31, 2008 at 11:00 AM at St. Isidores Catholic Church in Montgomery Center with Rev. Karl Hahr celebrating the Mass of Christian burial. Interment will take place next spring in St. Isidores Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 5-8 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls.

He will give us strength to bear the blow.
