ENOSBURG FALLS - Geraldine Toot DAgostino, age 94, passed away peacefully, and surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.
She was born on December 12, 1923 in Enosburg Center to the late Carmi and Chloe (Archambault) Farrar.
Toot grew up on a farm, the eldest of six children, and attended schools in Enosburg. She was a lifelong resident of Enosburg, with the exception of many winters spent at her home in Florida. Toot enjoyed traveling, cooking, baking, picking oranges and strawberries, reading, playing cards, and watching Jeopardy. She was a member of the Womens Auxiliary at the Enosburg American Legion, and many card clubs. Toot will be remembered for her admirable independence, work ethic, and courage to speak her mind.
She is survived by her beloved nieces, Jeannie West and Hailey Latimer; many nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews and great great nieces & nephews; brother-in-law, Raymond Parent; sisters-in-law Doris Farrar and Eunice Farrar; special friend, Teresa Gilbar, her cherished group of Birthday Club friends, and several other close friends. Besides her parents, Toot was predeceased by her husbands, Charles Lagrange and Mike DAgostino; her brothers, Elwin Buck Farrar and Raymond Farrar; sisters, Mabel Parent, Betty West and her husband Ronald, Joyce Jo Fletcher and her husband Buster; niece, Linda West; and nephew, Jody Fletcher.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls. Interment will follow in the Richford Center Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Saturday at Spears Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until the hour of her service.
