ENOSBURG FALLS / ST. ALBANS - Germaine Frances Brousseau, age 91, passed away on April 24, 2012 at the Redstone Villa in St. Albans.
Germaine was born in Fairfield on January 4, 1921, the beloved daughter of William J. Brousseau and Matilda (Marsha) Brousseau.
Germaine worked as a medical secretary for Dr. Henry Baby in St. Albans for many years. She was a published poet, writer of short stories and prolific doodle artist. Germaine also loved to braid rugs, knit, sew, do needlepoint and crewelwork, cook, grow perennials. She also loved cats especially her cat, Impy. She had a good humor and liked to engage in good conversation with family and friends.
She leaves behind her cousins Leah Weed; James and Cynthia Weed; Jane Weed and her husband Marvin Johnson; Baxter Weed and fianc Michelle Chasky; Benjamin and Eliza Weed and their son, Jacob; Olivia Weed Laporte and her husband Alan Laporte. She was predeceased by her parents and her cousin, Leonard W. Weed.
Germaines family wishes to thank Brownway Residence in Enosburg and Redstone Villa in St. Albans for their kindness and compassion during Germaines lingering illness.
A graveside committal service will take place on Friday, April 27, 2012 at 10AM at the Holy Cross Cemetery, Fairfax Street, St. Albans with Rev. Brian ODonnell officiating.
