Gloria Weld

BERKSHIRE - Gloria Weld, age 82, passed away on Monday, December 2nd, 2024 at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.

Gloria lived a life filled with passion and purpose. She was an avid crocheter and knitter, crafting beautiful pieces that brought warmth and comfort to those she loved. An avid reader, she constantly sought knowledge and inspiration through the pages of her books.

As a devoted member of the Catholic Church, Gloria served faithfully as a Eucharistic minister and shared her faith as a teacher of religion classes. Her commitment to her faith and her community left a lasting impact.

Gloria shared a beautiful life with her husband, with whom she loved to travel to Alexandria Bay, creating treasured memories along the way. Together, they nurtured their love through gardening, cultivating vibrant flowers and fresh vegetables, which brought joy not only to their home but also to those around them.

Gloria's kindness, generosity, and unwavering spirit will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Gloria is survived by her husband of 63 years, James Weld; children, Margie Barabe and her husband John, Richard Weld and his wife Gale, John Weld, and Paul Weld and his wife Kelly.; grandchildren, Sarah Weld, Leanne Curavoo, James Barabe, Thomas Barabe, Christopher Weld, Todd Weld, Ryan Weld and their spouses; 16 great grandchildren. Gloria was predeceased by her parents, Guy and Florence McCuin, and her siblings, Phyllis and Dare, grandson, Joseph Weld.

Friends and family will be invited to Gloria's life celebration to include a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, December 6th, 2024 at 11:00 AM at All Saints Catholic Church, Main Street Richford, VT.
