Burlington/Bakersfield - Gordon R. Kelley, 68, a resident of Burlington, and formerly of Bakersfield, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, May 19, 2009 at Burlington Health and Rehabilitation Center in Burlington.
Gordon was born on August 26, 1940 in East Enosburgh, the son of Clarence and Florence (Archambault) Kelley. He attended schools in Enosburg and Bakersfield.
In his early years, Gordon had worked in a sawmill. He later worked at United Farmers Creamery in Enosburg. He especially enjoyed attending fairs.
Gordon is survived by his brother Wilbur Kelley and his wife Phyllis of St. Albans and Summerfield, FL; his sisters Veronica Monette of Bakersfield and Grace Minor of Manchester, NH; nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Gordon was predeceased by two brothers Lyle Kelley and Richard Kelley and a sister Mary Ann Kelley.
The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Church in Enosburg Falls with the Reverend Daniel Jordan, Pastor officiating. Interment will follow at St. Georges Cemetery in Bakersfield . Friends are invited to call at the Spears Funeral Home in Enosburg Falls on Friday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
