South Richford native Harold Byron Fletcher passed away April 2, 2015 in Lakeland Florida. He was born March 22, 1927, to George W. and Mildred Guilmette Fletcher.
Harold served proudly in the United States Navy from 1946 to 1948. He formerly resided in Pendleton, New York, where Harold and his brother-in-law, Charles Hill, owned and operated Fletcher & Hill Builders for forty years. A gifted carpenter, in his later years he enjoyed imparting those skills to others.
Harold is survived by two sisters, Iris Willis of Derby, Vt. and Jean (Roderick) Isham of Hinesburg, Vt.; his nieces and nephew from the Pendleton, New York area, Sandra (Stephen) Hayes, Charlene (George) Peterson, Wayne (Kathy) Hill, Norma (Jerry) Steady and Lee (Kerry) Fye as well as, Martha (Dennis) Forest, of Mableton, Ga., Allen (Monica) Willis of Derby, Vt., Susan (David) FitzGerald of Hortense, Ga., Nancy Craft of Newport, Vt., Thomas (Holly) Martel of Coventry, Vt. and Roderick Isham, Jr. of Enola, Pa. Harold was predeceased by his parents, brother Garold, sisters Norma Fletcher, Eleanor Martel and Betty Hill, brothers-in-law, Maurice Martel, Charles Hill and Wallace Willis and his niece, Rhonda Isham Warren.
A graveside service and burial in the family plot will take place on Saturday, May 9, at 10:00 a.m. at the South Richford Cemetery.
