ST. ALBANS/ RICHFORD - Helen Ladeau, age 96, passed away Wednesday April 4, 2012 at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.
She was born in Belding, Michigan on December 16, 1915 the daughter of the late Frank & Georgia (Thomas) Nash.
Helen married Archie Ladeau in 1936 and raised her family in Richford. She loved crocheting, quilting and spending time at their camp on Hog Island. Helen also enjoyed spending winters in Florida after Archies retirement and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her son and his wife, Brian and Georgia Ladeau of Milford, MA; her granddaughters, Doreen Ladeau, Nadine Ladeau and her significant other Roy Vaz and Amanda Ladeau all of Milford, MA; 7 Great Grandchildren; a niece Jane Reynolds of Barre and a nephew Donald Smith of Randolph. Besides her parents, Helen was predeceased by her husband Archie Ladeau; a sister Marjorie Smith and a niece Diane Gamelein.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls with pastor Lyle Willey officiating. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family at the Riverside Cemetery in Swanton.
